Survey questions, answered

Which level do I need?

Modern homes in good condition suit a Level 2. Older, larger, listed or altered properties warrant a Level 3. Not sure? Get a free quote and we'll recommend the right level.

What's in the report?

A written report by a RICS or RPSA regulated surveyor covering condition, defects and what to do about them. Level 2 uses traffic-light ratings; Level 3 adds detailed causes and repairs. Always plain English.

Is a survey the same as a valuation?

No. A valuation confirms what your lender is lending against. A survey is for you — an independent assessment of condition and defects so you can buy with confidence or renegotiate.
