The Level 2 Home Survey — previously known as the RICS HomeBuyer Report — is the right choice for conventional, modern properties in reasonable condition.
Your RICS-qualified surveyor inspects all the major elements and grades each using a simple traffic-light system: 1 for no repair needed, 2 for defects that need attention but aren't urgent, and 3 for defects that are serious or need investigating urgently. It's a non-intrusive inspection, so you get a fair, balanced picture without disruption.
